| Estes Industries was founded in 1958 in Denver, Colorado. Vern Estes developed a machine that mass-produced solid propellant model rocket engines. This invention gave people a consistent and reliable way to launch model rockets. Later, the company branched out into the mass production of balsa nose cones and adapters for model rockets. Estes® began selling model rockets by mail in 1960.The NAR is all about having fun and learning more with and about sport rockets. We are the oldest and largest sport rocketry organization in the world. Since 1957, over 90,000 serious sport rocket modelers have joined the NAR to take advantage of the fun and excitement of organized rocketryTthe Team Ohio Rocketry Club (TORC703). We are National Association of Rocketry Section #703, serving Greater Dayton, Ohio, and surrounding areas. Our group is dedicated to the support and growth of sport/hobby model rocketry. All of our launches are a family-oriented atmosphere everyone can enjoy! Rocketeers of Central Indiana (ROCI) is Central Indiana's largest and most active model rocket club. Our goal is to increase the recreational and educational use of model and high power rockets in our area. ROCI members conduct outreach programs for various educational organizations throughout the year. |
